About Us
Plus Design and Build are based in Derbyshire, but operate all over the United Kingdom from Cornwall to the north of Scotland. Historically, many of our buildings have been for leisure applications where our design skills and construction methods are particularly well suited, but in recent years we have often worked on more ecclesiastical, educational and retail buildings too. Swimming pools and leisure centres, both for individuals and commercial ventures, are a particular speciality.
Our contracts vary in size from £50,000 to £3m plus. We like to work very closely with our clients, understanding and developing their brief, to create a design to really wow them.
Providing these services in house means that we are able to keep design costs down to modest proportions and when we are later awarded the contract to build they become insignificant as a proportion of the overall build cost.
We always consider the environmental impact of our buildings, which are usually of a timber frame structure (from sustainable sources), well insulated for high thermal performance.
